A Practical Guide To Trans, Gender Diverse & Non Binary Inclusion
cohealth and ZBGC’s inclusion resources guide, 2019. It provides staff with knowledge and skills to ensure a culturally safe and inclusive environment. The guide was written in collaboration with the Zoe Belle Gender Collective (ZBGC) and LGBTIQ Education & Advocacy Project (LEAP) and was informed by the National LGBT Health Education Centre’s Affirmative Care for Transgender and Gender Non-Confirming People resource.

Primary Health Care For Tran, Gender Diverse & Non Binary People Online Training Module
This module was designed in 2017 for general practitioners, practice nurses and medical students to become familiar with the diverse terminology, experiences, health issues, standards, and referral pathways with respect to trans, gender diverse, and non-binary (TGDNB) clients. The full module takes about 60 minutes to complete.

Transgender affirming hospital policy
Creating equal access to quality health care for transgender patients. Produced in 2016 in the USA these policies address the issues of confidentiality, non-discrimination, room assignments and access to restrooms, hormone therapy and personal items that assist gender presentation.

Policy and Practice Recommendations for Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Service Providers supporting the Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) Community
This 2017 document was developed by VAC (Thorne Harbour Health) in partnership with VAADA to support Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Services to provide safe and positive care to members of the Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) Community who may benefit from residential AOD treatment services.

Trans & gender diverse STI testing guidelines
This 2017 VAC (Thorne Harbour Health) guide is for all staff working with trans and gender diverse clients at STI testing and medical services. Key recommendations are on how to work with the TGD community in an inclusive, respectful manner to help build a trusting relationship between the services, practitioners and TGD identifying clients.

These guidelines produced by Equinox, Gender Diverse Health Centre in June 2017, are designed to reduce barriers and improve health outcomes for TGD people accessing hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Australian Standards of Care and Treatment Guidelines for Trans and Gender Diverse Children and Adolescents
Produced in 2018 by The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne these guidelines aim to maximise quality care provision to TGD children and adolescents across Australia.

WPATH Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender Nonconforming People
World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care (SOC) 2020, providing guidance for health professionals to assist TGD people to maximise their health and psychological well-being. The SOC may also be used by individuals, their families and social institutions.

The Australian Professional Association for Trans Health (AusPATH) is Australia’s peak body for professionals involved in the health, rights and wellbeing of trans, gender diverse and non-binary (TGDNB) people.
